When Rob and I first knew each other, before we were married, I went away to Texas to complete my student teaching in a bilingual classroom. That spring I missed the wildflowers and he knew that so photographed some and sent me the pictures (snail mail). This past season after all these years, he found himself photographing wildflowers in our woods and garden. But when developed, he wasn't happy with the results. I, on the other hand, was reminded of his loving idea all those years ago and decided to paint some of his photos as a tribute to his thoughtfulness.
